Hungarian hussar officer’s cartridge pouch (cartouche), 1848–49

Wooden case covered in leather, with fire-gilded brass mounts on the lid. In the centre a crowned Hungarian coat of arms surrounded by oak and acorn branches, with Empire-style openwork ornaments at the corners. Sides without trophy decoration but with suspension rings. Mounts slightly worn. Cleaned, good condition. Exceptional rarity!
