Circa 1750. Marked on the lock plate: “Giovanni MARIA LOGGIA”, Italy – Brescia. On a finely carved walnut stock, with steel fittings. With a flattened “Trombon” type steel barrel, with a decorative crown-shaped inlay and the monogram “N. P. G.” on top. With a steel, flintlock-type mechanism. With a late Baroque, early Classical-style trigger guard and shoulder rest. The gunstock can be folded with the push of a button, so when placed in its position in the saddle, it did not get caught. In very nice condition.
