Biedermeier fireplace clock with flowerpots, watercolours: c. 1840-50. Ebonized wooden case, alabaster columns, leaf with gilt column pedestals and capitals, wire. Backing with copper appliques. Behind upper glass with typical Biedermeier town depiction. Bottom of the case with watercolour depicting a castle and its park. The case has been cleaned and the original polish has been preserved. Structure with Viennese-type quarter spiral gong striking, cleaned by clockmaster, in working order. With polished glass inlaid pendulum. With slightly damaged enamel dial.
