Chinoiserie tufted fireplace clock: c. 1780. Carved limewood case, with metallic and partially gold-plated and blue painted surfaces. Inlaid with lead strokes. Original as found condition. Viennese type, with working mechanism for striking a bell. A nice, attractive, chinese, sophisticated piece.
